ACL CABLES PLC

ACL Cables PLC is the largest manufacturer of cables in Sri Lanka ACL Commenced as a member of Associated Motorways Group (AMW) of Companies under the name Associated Cables Ltd in 1962. ACL Group of companies currently holds 70% share of the cable market in Sri Lanka. In 1976 ACL Converted to a Public Limited Liability Company, and moved out of AMW Group. Established own island wide distribution network in 1982. The Company name was changed to ACL Cables Limited in 1990. ACL Plastics Limited was established in 1991. Acquisition of Ceylon Bulbs and Electricals Limited took place in 1995. In 1999 ACL went on to purchase 75% of shares of the second largest cable manufactuer in the Island. In 2019 Acquired major stake of Cable Solutions (PVT) Ltd. and commence the distribution of solar cables. ACL Electric was formed in 2014, manufacturing & marketing high quality electrical switches, sockets, breakers and accessories. ACL was involved in several projects locally and internationally.
